Not quite sure how it’s taken me this long to catch up on these posts Trent, but it’s a refreshing dose of keeping it real, which can be hard to find and I am loving them :)

This is the content I've been looking for! I struggle with the concept of retirement. Thx for writing it Trent!

Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing!

All of us go through these moments at some stage in our lives.

I have gone through a few stages myself, despite being young, without kids and not retired.

Having a Sense of Purpose and solid Social connections (bonds) around a shared purpose (or over shared interests) is the key driver that keeps us going in life.

If at any point we lose either one of those (or both) then we're at that stage.

To me, one's purpose creates one's identity around it. Social connections recognise that if that purpose is strong then they associate your identity with it which creates YOU. (a unique human being).

Ps. I am a wannabe DJ too, it's on my list to pursue one day! Maybe now's the time 😁

Another terrific read. So many things one can identify with. Thanks for the bravery in sharing - vulnerability is all well and good but it can be terrifying. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Thanks, Don. It's pretty scary putting some of this stuff out on the public internet so it's nice when it resonates :-)
